Welcome

South Dakota Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance is South Dakota's organization of health, physical education, recreation and dance professionals.

Our Aims:

To provide leadership essential to the continued development and improvement of sound and effective programs in the professionally related fields.
To assist in research and experimentation and to disseminate information secured through these projects
To work cooperatively with other associations at the state, district, and national levels for the improvement of the profession
To advance the standards and quality of teaching in South Dakota in health, physical education, recreation, and dance
To promote a healthy lifestyle among the citizens of South Dakota.

The 2008 convention presentation proposal form link can be found on the convention information page, or via this link. If you know of anyone who is interested in being an exhibitor at the 2008 convention, direct them to this link (which is also on the convention page). This link will take the exhibitor to the contract to exhibit.

There will be a fun run at the convention this year- click here to get the registration form, and let everyone you know who is planning to attend that this run will be an event at the convention!

Professional Credit at the convention

One College Credit will be offered through Augustana in Sioux Falls for $50.00.

One CEU (Continuing Education Credit) will also be offered at no cost.

15 contact hours during the convention (in any combination) and one written assignment are required for both.

Registration will be available on site. No need to pre-register.
